90Hz AMOLED display

Now OnePlus Nord 2 5G’s displays are a 6.43 inches Fluid AMOLED panel with a 1080 x 2400 resolution. With it, you get a fast 90 Hertz refresh rate, 120Hz would have been even better. Because of its higher refresh rate feature, moving elements on the screen appear even smoother. This screen is more responsive too. Max brightness is good too up to 500 nits with the manual slider and over 800 nits in auto mode when in bright conditions. This panel also features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 409 PPI density, and HDR10+.

Android 11, OxygenOS 11.3

Now the new interface of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G is quite a bit different from what we’ve seen before. This one runs Oneplus’ new OxygenOS 11.3 based on Android 11. Android 11 brings plenty of new features. A lot of the UI elements have been shifted toward the bottom half of the display to be easier to reach. There are still plenty of Google apps here too, like phone and messages. Another new feature is that you get an actual always on display here and there are a bunch of customizations.

Audio quality

For audio, you get a set of stereo speakers on the OnePlus Nord 2 5G. They are the bottom speakers and the earpiece acting as the second one. However, there is no 3.5-millimeter jack here. The audio quality from the speakers is pretty nice. Waking up and unlocking the phone is done with an under-display optical fingerprint reader. It’s super fast and responsive to your touch.

Battery

The battery of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G is not something one should worry about because it is great as well. The OnePlus 8T has a 4500 non-removable mAh battery. One way in which the Nord 2 5G pushes things to the next level is with fast charging 65W, 1-100% in 30 min (advertised). This is 9 minutes faster than Oneplus 9R‘s 65W, 1-100% in 39 minutes. It comes with a huge 65-watt adapter in its box as you will find when you unpackage this brilliant smartphone.
